Our independent construction project audits have been designed to provide our clients and other stakeholders an invaluable independent review through another set of eyes on the status of their construction projects at any given moment in time.
It goes without saying that of course, construction projects can overrun for multiple reasons, but a construction audit from time to time provides not only the peace of mind that the project is heading in the right direction, but also safeguards against inappropriate payments being made for either poorly executed or claims for works that have not yet been undertaken.
Our team work as an extended part of your business in collaboration with the site teams, to provide an independent high level review of the status of the projects. The purpose of the review is not just to highlight any evident potential risks or concerns, but also reviews the onsite progress against the agreed construction programme whilst simultaneously auditing the works already undertaken to ensure that the specified materials have been installed in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines and to the highest standards.
Health, Safety & Risk Management Review/Audit
Our independent Health, Safety and Risk Management Review/Audits are designed to provide our clients and other stakeholders an invaluable independent review and assurance of the efficacy of their documented system including evidence of compliance with Legislation and Best Practice.
To ensure ongoing Health, Safety and Risk Management activities remain compliant with Legislation and Best Practice on all of your projects, we strongly recommend that on site monthly independent Project safety health checks are undertaken, this will ensure that there is continued re-assessment of the in place risk management systems, the workers on site are competent and are engaged prior to the key project milestones being undertaken.
Our Review/Audit entails and delivers:
- A cold eye and documented assessment of the “in place” management system.
- Gap analysis and areas for improvement.
- Assurance that all Critical Risks have been identified and appropriately managed.
- Worker “onboarding” and induction is appropriate for the scope of work and is being carried out in accordance.
- Worker and Contractor competency and engagement assurance.
- Pre-Starts and Toolbox deliver Worker understanding and engagement.
- All Notifiable work is identified and WorkSafe NZ appropriately informed.
- Incident and Near Miss reporting requirements are understood, complied with and where appropriate, lessons learned are incorporated in work management processes.
